THE RELATIONSHIP KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE OF PREGNANT WOMEN WITH THE BENEFITS OF PREGNANCY EXERCISE AT METRO KENDAWANGAN CLINIC, 2023

Pregnancy exercise is a movement therapy therapy given to pregnant women to prepare themselves, both physically and mentally to face and prepare for fast, safe and spontaneous delivery. However, not all pregnant women have knowledge and attitudes about pregnancy exercise. Therefore, there are still many mothers or babies who die as a result of childbirth.
This study aims to determine the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the benefits of pregnancy exercise at the Metro Kendawangan Clinic in 2023. The research design used in this study was analytic descriptive with a cross-sectional approach with a sample size of 50 people using the total sampling method. The research was conducted on June 4 2023 to June 6 2023. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire which included demographic data, knowledge questions and attitude statements regarding pregnancy exercise.
The results showed that the majority of pregnant women had good knowledge, 35 people (70%) and 37 people (74%) were positive about pregnancy exercise. After conducting the chi-square test, it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about pregnancy exercise because the p value < 0.05 or (0.000> 0.05). It is hoped that health workers will increase the counseling conducted in the working area of the Kendawangan Metro Clinic so that pregnant women have knowledge and understanding about pregnancy exercise and pregnant women want to do pregnancy exercise.
